8. I really like your program as a way for students to be self-directed in their learning. There's room for explicit instruction and teaching through introducing the reading comprehension strategy. Students then have the chance to complete work at their own pace in the time given. I love this resource for literacy rotations and it's usually the independent ‘quiet' task. The self-marking with Bright Islands Complete Comprehension is incredible and saves so much time. The Student Progress Report is also a fantastic visual to see what areas students still need assistance in!

16. My favourite features are that you as the teacher can clearly see where each student's strengths are and see which strategies they need to improve. The tasks that are set for them to improve were put into my reading rotations and allowed them to see improvement and gain confidence in each of the comprehension strategies. My school had a trial for Bright Islands Complete Comprehension in term 4 last year after using the paper version in the past. It made it so much easier to track each student's individual progress. It's so easy to use and the students enjoy completing the tasks. It's now a part of my weekly rotations so we're looking to purchase it for this year. We have a timetabled program for when we do Benchmarks and eventually Post Tests, which are spread over the year. We record these online when they have been completed.
